The focus of this lecture series is to share some of the narratives from the Vedic Canon and demonstrate how these perspectives enhance our understanding and practice of Jyotish. Each lecture starts with an exploration of narratives from the Vedic Canon. From here we begin to extract astrological conclusions and analyze how they manifest in charts of well-known public figures. The session concludes with a live question and answer period to clarify the attendees’ understanding of the core concepts. Participants are invited to review these narratives over the next 2 weeks and see how they manifest in their own charts and the charts of their near and dear ones. Video recordings of each session will be provided for all registrants via a secure google drive folder.

Session 1: Of Gods, Humans and Monsters
September 15, 2023
We will open the series with an introduction to the primary structure of the cosmos and the types of beings we encounter in the Jyotish world. This lecture lays the foundation for the subsequent lectures. We will ground this knowledge by revealing where to find these beings in the Jyotish Chart.
Session 2: The Power of the Pada
September 29, 2023
We will be considering a narrative that indicates that the meek not only inherit the Earth but can rule the whole cosmos with energy to spare. This powerful narrative is related to a simple jyotish technique which opens our understanding of how a person’s life can unfold. We may even see the secret motivations driving the planets in our chart.
Session 3: Sun and Signs
October 13, 2023
In Sanskrit, the word for sign is rashi, which means a pile of things. In the session, we will concern ourselves with the most potent force of them all, the Sun. In the scriptures, the Sun is given 12 names that each correlate with a Sign. Knowledge of these stories will enhance our understanding and experience of the rashis.
Session 4: The Real Planetary Regents of the Solar System

In this session we will learn about the early lives of the planets and how their interactions created friendships and enemies which continue to impact how they influence us today. If you are a fan of reality TV, brace yourself, you have never seen anything like this!
Session 5: Rama, Rama, Rama: Three Jyotish Kings
November 10, 2023
Just in time for the Christmas Holiday season, we will be discussing three avatars of Lord Vishnu. Rama, Parasurama and Balarama who came to Earth in the Treta Yuga. This Yuga started around 2 Billion years before the current era. And yet, their energy still impacts our daily lives.
Ramdas Bill began studying Vedic Astrology in 2002 with Ronnie Dreyer and continues his studies under the guidance of Komilla Sutton. He holds a Level 1 Jyotisha Ratna™ Beginning Jyotish Certification from the American College of Vedic Astrology. He was awarded the Jyotish Shastri Diploma from Komilla Academy of Vedic Studies in Chandigarh, India.
Ramdas Bill has been an astrological counselor since 2005. He enjoys meeting with people to share astrological guidance which can help them to navigate the issues of daily life. The focus of his practice is to help others connect to the abundance which life has to offer.
